In this video, based on the assumption that Shiori Ito is making a false allegation, I would like to examine the credibility of her claim and her motivation behind it.

First of all, I would like to make it clear that the purpose of this video is not to slander Ms. Ito. She is already a famous person and a public figure. I think that it is legitimate to check and verify the contents and claims of the book that she published based on court documents and information that were public on the Internet.

Especially, when Ms. Ito’s book, in which she accuses Mr. Yamaguchi of being a despicable rapist, has been published not only in Japan but also overseas, even though the prosecutors dropped the charges of Mr. Yamaguchi in the criminal case, and the Committee for Inquest of Prosecution judged the case “non-prosecutable”. Yet Ms. Ito, who is still in dispute for civil trials with Mr. Yamaguchi, appears on TV, radio, and magazines as a victim of sexual violence.

And if you think it’s right that Mr. Yamaguchi’s libel claim against Ms. Ito was dismissed on the grounds that she is fighting for “social interests and social significance”, isn’t it also right to fight for the “social interests and social significance” of those men who are falsely accused? Both “victims of sex crimes” and “victims of false accusations of sexual crimes” are victims after all.

Lastly, in order to protect personal information, the posts published on the Internet will be modified using pixelation, except for public figures such as journalists.
