俳優の内野聖陽さんや女優の忽那汐里さんが7月9日、東京都内で行われた日本とトルコの合作映画「海難1890」（田中光敏監督）のクランクアップ会見に登場した。
「海難1890」は、1890年に和歌山県串本町沖で軍艦「エルトゥールル号」が座礁、大破した海難事故と、その95年後にイラン・イラク戦争でテヘランに取り残された日本人をトルコ人が救出した事件を題材とした作品。主演で串本町に住む医師を演じる内野聖陽さんは、「エルトゥールル号」の事件はもともと知っていたといい、「（事件を知ってもらうために）これはいい機会。こういう作品は映像記録として残っていく宿命にあるので、次の世代に誇れる映画を作りたいと思った」と出演を決めた背景を語った。
会見には主演の内野さん、忽那さんのほか、夏川結衣さん、宅間孝行さん、永島敏行さん、田中監督、トルコ人俳優のケナン・エジェさん、アフメト・ビュレント・メリチ駐日大使が出席した。映画は12月5日公開。

Actor Seiyo Uchino and actress Shiori Kutsuna appeared at an interview to announce the completion of shooting of the movie “Kainan 1890” (Shipwreck 1890) collaborated between Japan and Turkey (directed by Mitsutoshi Tanaka) held in Tokyo on July 9th.
“Kainan 1890” is adapted from a ship sinking accident where “Ertugrul” Frigate was stuck and heavily damaged offshore Kushimoto-cho, Wakayama Prefecture in 1890 and the event that Turkish people helped Japanese people who were abandoned at Tehran in Iran–Iraq 95 years later.
