映画「ティファニーで朝食を」は、アメリカ合衆国の小説家トルーマン・カポーティ原作の小説を1961年パラマウント映画によって映画化され、ハリウッドを彩った大女優オードリー・ヘプバーンの代表作となったエレガントなラブストーリー。
大都会ニューヨークでリッチな男性との結婚を夢見るヒロインがさまざまな問題を乗り越え、真実の愛にたどり着くまでをコミカルかつ繊細に描き出す。日本での公開は1961年11月。
監督はブレイク・エドワーズでトルーマン・カポーティの原作とは異なり、映画は主人公と語り手の作家との恋を中心に描いている。
巨匠ヘンリー・マンシーニが音楽を担当。オードリーが歌う名曲「ムーン・リバー」はもとより、小悪魔的彼女の魅力満載の小粋なストーリーに熱狂する。

The movie “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” is an elegant love story that was made into a movie by the Paramount movie in 1961, based on the novel by the United States novelist Truman Capote, and became a masterpiece of Hollywood-colored actress Audrey Hepburn.
A comical and delicate picture of a heroine dreaming of marrying a rich man in the big city of New York, overcoming various problems and reaching true love. Published in Japan in November 1961.
Directed by Blake Edwards, unlike Truman Capote’s original film, the film focuses on the love between the protagonist and the narrator’s writer.
Master Henry Mancini is in charge of the music. In addition to her famous song “Moon River” sung by Audrey, she is enthusiastic about her charming and stylish story.
