[Jujutsu Kaisen] Kento Nanami Back story, pet peeves, career advise, life lessons and adulting #JJK

Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College or better known as Tokyo Jujutsu High is not your typical high school. Tokyo Jujutsu High is a school for students with special abilities – ability to see and fight curses. It is a school for budding jujutsu sorcerers and is also the headquarters for alumni jujutsu sorcerers.

Each year, Jujutsu High carefully chooses students and only a few (as in three freshmen) are accepted. The three lucky freshmen who were accepted to train under the well known special grade jujutsu sorcerer (and the most powerful) Gojo Satoru are Megumi Fushiguro, Yuji Itadori and Kugisaki Nobara.

Kento Nanami is a first grade Jujutsu Sorcerer who graduated from Tokyo Jujutsu Tech. Kento Nanami is a strong Jujutsu Sorcerer and he holds the record for having the most number of Black Flash, a cursed technique, used consecutively. He used to be an ex-salaryman but hated working as a company employee as much as a being a Jujutsu Sorcerer. More than anything else Kento Nanami hates Satoru Goju who is his senior from Jujutsu Tech.

Although Kento Nanami is not fond of Satoru Gojo they have a close working relationship and can even be considered as friends. Satoru Gojo trusts Kento Nanami and he even asked Nanami to supervise Yuji Itadori on his training.

Kento Nanami accepts Satoru Gojo’s request and looks after Yuji Itadori. Nanami and Yuji encounters and fights special grade curse Mahito. In their fight with Mahito, Kento Nanami shows his strength and reveals his techhnique 7:3, where he uses a curse tecnique that lets him deal enemies with critical hit every single time. Although Mahito was the worst opponent for his technique, Nanami managed to critically injure Mahito and escape.

As Kento Nanami and Yuji Itadori’s investigation of curse Mahito continues, they inevitably fought again. This time Kento Nanami almost dies from Mahito’s Domain Expansion but was luckily saved by Yuji Itadori. Through out the series Kento Nanami looks after Yuji and teaches him valuable life lessons and offers him wise words.

Yuji Itadori, the second freshman of Jujutsu Tech was a regular high school student before the accident that led him to be recruited by Gojo Satoru to be attend Jujutsu Tech. Yuji Itadori has unexplainable super human strength and speed. Yuji Itadori accidentally discovers a high grade curse hidden in their school campus that happened to be Ryomen Sukuna’s finger. In a fight to save his friends and Megumi Fushiguro, Yuji Itadori eats Sukuna’s finger to gain curse energy. Yuji becomes Sukuna’s vessel and was considered a threat to the society. Yuji was sentenced to execution and to delay this, Gojo Satoru negotaited to take Yuji as a student while they collect all Sukuna’s fingers and destroy them all at one.
