This is for the under appreciated & under loved Amazon Kamen Rider, Neo/Chihiro. I am giving him some love, he needs it. He is a sweetheart. I have fallen in love. Neo has a beautiful soul. I had to make something like this, he is too much of a sweet & cute guy in both personality & looks wise, to not make something dedicated to him like this, it was a little break from doing my other Amazon MV as that one is harder to make than this one was, this is just something I wanted to do for fun than the other Amazons MV I am making, so it isn’t as good editing but I still like it. I don’t care that many others don’t like Neo, I do love him & I think he is the sweetest Amazon out there, as my video suggests, he is sweet like sugar. Here is my thoughts about Neo I wrote in a different Amazon video description of one of my videos. I want to copy & paste it here since it is relevant to the video, and add a bit extra.
My fave Amazon is actually Neo/Chihiro, but Omega/Haruka is also my fave coming close to Neo as well. Man, I love all the Blue Riders the most, lol. Gatack from Kabuto & Neo from Amazons. Well, fun fact, my fave colour is blue.. hmm.. there is a theme here & not just with the colour too, but also the personalities of Gatack & Neo are very sweet & cute & I think that is why I love them so much. Another fun fact, Neo, kinda means “new”. Well, that is one related meaning of it. Makes a lot of sense because of his birth. I know a lot of people do not like Neo, but I do love him a lot, I think Chihiro is a real sweetheart with a tortured soul, who found a purpose for life & a happiness with it, due to meeting Iyu. He seemed a lot happier with Iyu, like he now had a purpose for his life with her in it. Of course, I do not mean The Original True Form side of him when I say he is a sweetheart with a tortured soul, I mean Chihiro himself. I view the Amazon side of Neo as more of a primal instinct & that is not actually what and who Chihiro wants to be, the Amazon side of him goes against Chihiro himself, but the Amazon urge for humans is strong & he can’t control it, that is why he is a tortured soul.
He didn’t have a good life, & his Amazon side destroyed many people when his real Chihiro self never wanted to. That must create real trauma in someone, to know you couldn’t control the Amazon urge & did something horrible when you never wanted to, like I said, it is a primal instinct, devoid of rationality & empathy, the urge is needed to be satiated with Amazons, but Chihiro never wanted this urge, he doesn’t revel in it, it created a real emotional trauma in him, a dichotomy of opposing sides inside him, he tried to deny & suppress the Amazon part of him that wants to eat humans so badly, he denied to himself doing the bad things as a way to protect his mind & heart from the pain & suffering that it would cause him. He never wanted to hurt people, he wanted to be human, & so that is what makes his story so tragic, he himself, as Chihiro, was an innocent guy, who wanted to be human, who wanted to live, who was miserable until he met Iyu. He was born part Amazon, part Human, and so didn’t have the choice as to his instincts, he never wanted these urges at all, he is a genuine kind and innocent guy.
That is why he is my fave. He really is a complex tormented & tortured character that was a real sweetie despite what life gave him. The story around Chihiro was really sad, tragic, yet beautiful & I know a lot of people feel he is whiney, but like, come on, 1, he wasn’t at all whiney despite the situations he was in, & 2, he was a very empathic, sweet and caring character, he couldn’t do these bad things & not feel something from it. It is natural to be emotional when he did something bad like he did to humans, when he didn’t want to, and when he was being hunted, he just wanted to him and Iyu to be able to live. I don’t understand when people say he is whiney & a crybaby. He was hunted down by everyone, so yeah, when everyone is against you, you would feel really emotional too, especially if the girl you really love & want to live together with is hunting you down & when Iyu was at a high risk of ending due to her bracelet, he would have done everything he could to try to save her, he is strong. He wasn’t and never was a crybaby. He was strong, and he always had been strong.
Put yourself in his shoes & you will see that he was strong in spite of what was happening to him. I hate that people call him a crybaby, when if they were in his situation they would probably not be able to cope as well as Neo did. It felt, at the end, he accepted that he would have to fight Omega & Alpha to the death. He wanted to live so badly. Man, that really hits me in the feels. Well, the whole Chihiro story hits me in the feels.
