Love Sport Tokyo 2020
The Flag Handover, from the Cidade Maravilhosa to the City of Waterways, made the audience captivated thanks to its stylish and edgy music and rhythms.
A symbolic red ball was passed between top Japanese athletes, popular manga and anime characters to an unexpected Super Mario, played by the Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
With 45 interconnecting pieces of 3 different rectangular shapes, the Ichimatsu pattern of the Tokyo 2020 Emblem was created under the concept of diversity and harmony: the spectacular Japanese stilish design represented a message of hope and tolerance, pursuing the ideal of equality promoted by Rio 2016 Olympics Ceremonies.
