Cross Country EAR-OMA

Upon departure Runway 32R, ATC gave us right turn because another aircraft B767 took off Runway 32L, and heading 270 to fly over the airport.

This is the first time to land Class C airport. I was so excited because there were some unexpected things. My assigned runway was 32L, but when I enter midfield left downwind for runway 32L, ATC told us to change the runway to 32R due to the aircraft B737 on the final 32L which made wake turbulence.

Usually I have trained class E airport, I rarely talk to ATC unless going to another airport or contact center when do XC. Sometimes going to Class D airport and practice ATC. But for this time, it was very different. They gave us a lot of instructions through the radio. I worried about that before I go to OMA. But I made it! I could talk to them without help.

So, that’s why so excited!!
