Welcome back to Big if True! First off, Slam Dunk is back with a new animated movie! If you haven’t read or watched Slam Dunk, it is highly recommended. It is one of the OG sports manga that really broke the scene open for more shows like Kuroko no Basuke and Haaikyuu!! to come up. It follows a different story than you might expect and is more normal, especially compared to sports manga with shonen like elements and powers that amp up the sakuga moments. Make no mistake, though! Slam Dunk is hype in many ways!
We’re also talking about the first samurai of African origin. The inspiration behind Afro Samurai. The man himself: Yasuke. Mappa studios is working with Netflix and they’re shown to have done great productions in the past. We’re very excited to see how things are going to pan out. That’s it for this episode.
