Fun fact: Utada Hikaru’s First Love is the first non-anime Japanese song that I learned to sing. It’s the first non-Japanese anime album that I bought. 🐼💖
I’m surprised when I found Utada Hikaru’s album, First Love at a local record bar. I’m sooo happy. I bought her album knowing only the two popular songs there which are Automatic and First Love, of course. And I’m so glad I did because I enjoyed the whole album! My favourite song from this album is Time Will Tell. And this is still my favourite album of her.
I’m not sure with the other countries but First Love is pretty popular here in the Philippines. A local singer even made an English version of this song. Another one released a song inspired from this. I have no idea if they have acknowledged it officially, but it really sounds similar to First Love. Also, there’s a popular rap song before that used some of First Love’s lyrics. Those are just the ones that I know of. There may be others I haven’t heard of! If you know any other songs based on First Love, please let me know so that I can listen to them! 😉
Aaand~ as always, all of the voices that you hear in this cover is mine. But my video editing software keeps on crashing when I try to load the other harmony video tracks. 😭
So you will hear a lot of harmonies in the last chorus but you will not see any of my self-backing vocals in there. I really hope you still enjoy this though~! This cover is still full of my love. 💖 I will do my best to fix the problem before our next premier!
