Shocking ALCATRAZZ’s first visit to Japan, first day, January 24, 1984 at Osaka Festival Hall.
The debut album “ALCATRAZZ” attracted a lot of attention as “Graham Bonnet’s new band!”, but Yngwie’s fast guitar playing was intense. How does he play it? Can he really play live? The show started with a mixture of anticipation and doubt in the air. The atmosphere changed when he started the guitar solo. The audience’s dismay is palpable.
“Night Games” was covered by a Japanese singer, and the crowd sang along. Yngwie’s precise, rapid-fire guitar cut through it as if to tear it apart. Graham made a mistake on “Desert Song”, “All Night Long” which seemed to be under-rehearsed. The first day was full of highlights.

Graham Bonnet – Vocal, Yngwie Malmsteen – Guitar, Jimmy Waldo – Keyboards, Gary Shea – Bass, Jan Uvena – Drums
