[ニューデリー ２７日 ロイター] – インドとロシアが、ウクライナ戦争以降停止していた液化天然ガス（ＬＮＧ）の直接取引再開に向け協議を進めていることが分かった。中東情勢の緊迫化による供給不安を受け、エネルギー戦略を転換する動きとみられる。
関係者によると、両国はロシア産ＬＮＧの販売再開に向けた交渉準備で合意。実現すれば西側の対ロ制裁に抵触する可能性があり、数週間以内に交渉がまとまる可能性もあるという。
この協議は、３月１９日にニューデリーで行われたロシアのソロキン・エネルギー次官とインドのプリ石油・ガス相の会談で「口頭合意」に至った。
また両国は、ロシア産原油の対インド輸出拡大でも一致。現在の水準から約１カ月で、インドの輸入全体に占める割合が４０％に倍増する可能性がある。
インドはウクライナ侵攻後、割安なロシア産原油の主要買い手となり、昨年は約４４０億ドル相当を購入した。一方で、米政権はインドに対し、ロシア産エネルギー依存の縮小を求めてきた。
インド政府はエネルギー輸入業者に対し、ロシア産ＬＮＧの購入再開に備えるよう指示した。さらに米国に対しては、制裁適用の免除を打診しているという。
インド外務省報道官は、ＬＮＧを含むエネルギー確保に向け複数国と協議していると述べたが、詳細には言及しなかった。
