Googleは3月4日、AIノートアプリのNotebookLMに新機能「Cinematic Video Overviews」を追加した。現時点ではGoogle AI Ultraを契約する18歳以上のユーザーに対して提供中。英語版のみサポートしている。
Cinematic Video Overviewsは、ノートブック内の資料を元に解説動画を生成してくれる機能。既存のVideo Overviewsではナレーション付きのプレゼン動画を生成できるが、Cinematic Video Overviewsでは資料を元にGeminiが適切なストーリーを考え、ユーザーにあわせた没入感のある動画を生成できるようになる。
Geminiがクリエイティブディレクターのような役割をして、物語や表現の形式やビジュアルスタイルなどを考えることで、没入感や一貫性のある動画生成を実現。Gemini 3やNano Banana Pro、Veo 3など同社の先進AIモデルを組み合わせることで、滑らかなアニメーションや細かなビジュアルを動画で表現できるようになったという。
