[ワシントン ２日 ロイター] – トランプ米大統領は２日、米国に拠点を置く光工学企業ハイフォに対し、米航空宇宙・防衛企業エムコアの半導体事業買収を撤回するよう命じた。トランプ氏はホワイトハウスが発表した声明で、「（ハイフォは）中国国民に支配されている」とし、「米国の国家安全保障を損なう恐れのある行動を取る可能性がある」とした。
ハイフォは２０２４年に３００ドルで買収を完了していた。トランプ氏は１８０日以内にエムコアの資産を売却するよう命じた。
ハイフォ、エムコアのコメントはいずれも得られていない。
