Should You Watch Guilty Gear Strive Dual Rulers?
All right, guys. Welcome back to the channel. Let’s talk about some Guilty Gear Strive dual rulers real quick. Listen, it’s just retelling the events of like I guess Kai and Dizzy as of right now. Maybe we’ll get more going forward, but as you can tell, like just from this clip right here, it’s showing Kai back in like his heyday. And I say his heyday like he ain’t still that dude. But this is like before even he became king type deal. You know what I mean? Because this outfit, even though it looks similar to XRD, it is nowhere near the same. It is very different. Then we got him with the Ye ass haircut, which he’s had the short haircut way back when in his heyday, like I said, and of course, he went back to it in Strive after XRD, which is pretty fine. But they pretty much have a wholesome moment, him and um Dizzy, before they end up making Sin, which we’ll get into next. This man’s sin is such Looney Tunes. Look at this [ __ ] right here. Like, watch this with me right here. Look. Nowhere left to run. Getting chased by a bear, which he’s supposed to take care of under Soul’s orders. And then he does this. Look at this. He’s such a funny dude. Love the comedy bit in this. And of course, there’s a pretty wholesome moment afterwards with what Sin does and the whole bear situation. And then talking with Soul and telling him, “Hey, don’t you have something else you got to do?” which was you need to go to your like parents’ wedding. Like what are you doing here? And he ends up going eventually, which leads us to his next character. Whole chest out. Come on. Undershirt something. Come on, man. Switch it up. Switch it up. But then it probably wouldn’t be Johnny, right? And you know him giving his blessing and everything, but he’s not the only one that gives his blessing while at the wedding. There’s also our favorite right here, Testament. Testament. As you can see by the logo, the hat logo by the way. gives their blessings as well. And that’s pretty interesting to have Testament like even be mentioned this early. This guy right here, Nervvel Hammer, who is like the anti-geear faction leader, I guess you could say. Um, you know, he’s going to be antagonist just based on this. Look how he like grazes over Dizzy’s like hand. Like, you know, he’s up to something despite him giving his blessings or whatever the [ __ ] you want to call it. I mean, he’s up to something. Then he’s smirking, looking at his glove. Here’s where the whole antagonist thing comes from. What did he just do? He literally just took a sample of her DNA. Now, what he does with that, who knows? Could be incorporating that into his body, maybe. Or maybe he has like test subjects he wants to put that in. Don’t know. He He’s planning on doing something. He he’s trying to usurp um Kai somehow cuz he’s just not with the whole gear and humans being, you know, civil and [ __ ] So, there’s no telling where it’s going to go from there, but he may have something to do with Unka as well. We’ll find out. Speaking of Unica, you know, she has a little spat with Johnny right here and she just kind of like shows out, but Johnny’s no like pushover. Like, he stands his ground, too. And it’s pretty dope because Johnny’s actually faster than I thought he would be. I thought this man was like slow despite him having that blade and doing what he does. He’s actually faster than I thought. And Unica, like come on. I mean, she didn’t really have to do all that acrobatic stuff just to target Dizzy. Like, let’s be honest with you. She literally could have just aimed and shot, but she did a whole cartwheel flip in the air. Like, girl, relax. You’re going to hit your target. You know what I mean? And of course that didn’t really work out because you know push come to shove. You do that to Dizzy. What happens? She transforms. This is the funny part about this transformation to me personally is that Dizzy has this outfit right here which is her normal outfit that we’ve seen in all the games. This is what she transforms into. She doesn’t transform into what we got in Stride. I don’t see how this wasn’t like the default regard. Now don’t get me wrong. Don’t get me wrong, I think R System Works did great with her outfit or her new outfit is what I’m getting at. It did great, but they really should have like the alternate retro outfit, you know, just because same thing how Blaze Blue did it. Blaze Blue had Noel’s NOL outfit and then they were just like, “All right, here’s a new outfit and here’s a retro outfit. Pick which one you like more, blah blah blah.” They probably should have did this with Dizzy, too, but it’s besides the point. Good moment, by the way. Very good moment. It leads into um her being sealed with Kai and the thunder seal, but it’s not like a bad thing according to soul. So, you know, you just take it from there. This is probably my favorite moment out of the anime itself. And that’s Sin having like a sitdown dinner with Jacko and Soul. And what’s funny about this is that they’re such concerning parents that they give him really good advice and it just comes down to he understands it but he doesn’t understand it. And also besides that point, look at Jacko. She’s really making this face cuz Soul’s like, you know, I’ll make better [ __ ] stew than you African style. I can only imagine what that is. It’s probably spicy and [ __ ] but it’s just funny to see just this moment between them. They really are like parents in their own way when they’re dealing with like dealing with sin. Like I I love that. I love that about the anime. I really did. This right here. This right here. This No, I’m leaving things to you. Of course. Take care. Jacko says that. Look how Look how in love this man is. He’s supposed to be so bad guy, not so good guy. You feel me? This dude’s awesome, man. Dude’s awesome. And of course, the last bit I got to bring up. It’s our girl Bikin right here. Look at her using her blade to cut [ __ ] now. You know what I mean? Yo, Bikin really is her. And watch what she does. She She pulls a whole note off her titty just normal. Like she pulls scrolls, she pulls guns, she pulls everything out of her titties. That’s crazy. That is so crazy. Okay, so that pretty much wraps up my thoughts on Gilder Gear Strike Dual Rules episode 1. The ending credits right here is also pretty good. You should check it out. You should definitely check out the opening if you haven’t already. I know it’s posted on Twitter and YouTube like everywhere anyway, but you should definitely check it out. Uh Unica and Nervville will probably be the main antagonist in this. That’s just my thoughts. Unica in particular makes me believe that she’s like either a clone of Dizzy or like another child that Dizzy didn’t know about. There’s just too many things that seem similar when I was watching and I was just like, “Okay.” But there’s there’s no telling how’s it going to go. I’m probably going to keep up with it as much as I can and then by the time the end of the anime happens, we’ll most likely be getting her in the game. like it’s got to happen like at the end of the anime or at least two episodes before it ends.
