What’s up guys? Back in today with more Witchwatch this time with episode 23. Uh decent episode last week. Um had a little shrunk segment at the start which is fun. But um and a nice little uh segment for O orito Morito on his birthday. I just woke up late. Um, but yeah, the uh the preview did show us I think it was pretty pretty mainly focused on the teacher and the manga artist or the fan artist. Um, I know I’ve been saying I want to see more of those two, but honestly I’d like to see more of those two away from this random series. We’ll see what this has got though. And uh also got their opening. Pretty sure they had their own opening last time as well, right? Not sure if this is the same. Borro Mage opening two. Honestly, I think this will probably be better than the opening we have at the minute. Not a massive fan of it. It’s decent, but first opening the series. It’s absolutely incredible. So, no, I think we we did see this one, didn’t we? I remember this shot specifically. It’s like right out of game time of that really, isn’t it? I’m glad that’s the case. Glad we’re getting more of these two in actuality. I don’t know what it is. I don’t know what it is about this woman’s voice actor, but the teacher’s voice act is just like so so soothing and calming about I’ve always said this for manga artists especially. I mean, this is a different situation, but manga artists are that themselves. They’re artists initially, aren’t they? They’re not storytellers. They’ve kind of got to learn to become storytellers as well as good artists, I’d assume. Anyway, you do see some very popular manga with not so great art to be fair. So maybe that’s not exactly the case, but I’d assume in most cases it’s like a dream for the person to want to be an artist slash a manga artist because of the the drawing element. So that look just like Borro just mentioned that. Oh, [Laughter] cheated on me. Are you Well, your homework grades might be going down a little bit. So, this is dangerous, right? Um I I never done it myself. I definitely I think maybe during like the early 2010s um Twitter was I mean it’s a massive thing now but it was a big thing then of like um yeah it was just a big thing seemingly when I was in like high school uh you want to be popular on Twitter and such and you’d meet quite a few people just random people mostly your age and such but um I never met anyone I kind of met off there or anything but some of my friends did and I never and I never like those people uh some of them are still friends some of my um older today. But um I just like I oppose the idea of it to be honest with you. Just like me and randoms because you Yes, you can. It’s very easy to display yourself in a certain way online, isn’t it? I’m very much a betray betrayer of that. I was um I wouldn’t say like outspoken, but I spoke a lot online and such where I was actually quite a shy guy actually. Um but if you saw who I was talking to people online and such, you wouldn’t think that at all. Um, you think I was quite outgoing, quite extroverted, but that just wasn’t the case. I was probably more extroverted than outgoing then, but um, not nearly to the degree you’d probably think. So, um, yeah, dangerous idea to be honest with you. You never know who you’re talking to as well. Um, yeah, any of the people my friends did meet like that. I just I never really liked them. They just seemed like not very nice people. So she says, but to be honest nowadays, Twitter is a very different place. Almost all of it is just robots. It’s an old dude. Of course it’s an old [ __ ] dude. Like you get so many Twitter accounts like this. are just like verified accounts that are just range baiting, asking stupid questions to get interactions and are completely robot maintained. And it’s just like it’s an awful place nowadays. Twitter really is. It’s a cess pit for failed [ __ ] AI robot profiles and creepy men pretending to be sexy women. Yeah, it was quite similar to you woman. It was quite similar to you, but you were actually a decent nice person. Maybe that guy is, but the fact that he’s pretending to be a girl specifically is a bit dodgy. The way she was going about it was a little bit more okay. Yeah, I always used to thought I was a bit of a catfish as well. I I’ve always There he is. Well, what what an idiot. What a fool. How’d you make that mistake? But yeah, I used to think I was a bit of a catfish. My photos always used to look better than I actually looked. And I think that’s still the case. I think I look better on video. And um maybe not actual video, like high quality video, but on my YouTube videos. And I look better than I I’d actually do in real life, I think. Oh, that’s her dad. Oh, she looks like nice girl. Maybe this is still an old man. You never know. Maybe this extremely young looking girl is is an old man in disguise. I also really don’t like people that talk like it’s like online talk. It’s just a bit cringe in real life, isn’t it? Good. Getting some good ideas. Sure did. Although I understand her apologizing, but it’s pretty weird. Get store play this a little. A little jealous. a fan art file in katakana specifically which is I think used mainly for foreign words Right. But I guess you can write anything in katakana as well. We’re back at them again. almost like it was their work. You get these type of people, don’t you? Not just that specifically, but like that just seem like I guess everyone’s got their own opinions, but seemingly just like herald the most average [ __ ] [ __ ] ever. I was turn out of 10 peak. I hate the word peak. I hate it. It’s just absolutely like thrown around for anything. Like when they say peak, they actually just mean good a lot nowadays. It’s so [ __ ] annoying. Um, but yeah, it’s like they herald the shot really does look a lot like Gint. Um, yeah, they just herald the most like seemingly just like average [ __ ] you could ever think of. Um, again, the very unpopular opinion here, but my example of that would be solo leveling. Just like the most average less than bang average story to be honest with you. But um even the fights, the way they’re the animation and the choreography is fantastic in the anime and the artwork probably looks good in the source material as well. But the actual contents of like what they’re fighting, the interest in the enemy they’re fighting, any story about the enemy they’re fighting, it’s just non-existent. It’s just like it’s a slight buildup to the fight. Not really anything actually about the character they’re then fighting or the being or whatever. It’s just a cool fight. It’s it’s all just like set up for a cool fight scene and that’s all it is. There’s not actually any real kind of story. Um, and when they did attempt it with like the mother stuff and solo leveling, it was just like god it was just like they forgot a car a character until that episode and then they bring it back expecting us to feel something. Um, sorry for going on this rant by the way about solo leveling, but that is my example of this. just like some absolute bang average or less than bang average that has beautiful animation and production music. Everything surrounding it is fantastic. So, you can see why it’s loved. But it’s just like you people need to see what you’re But again, unpopular opinion and I think everybody’s got their own kind of versions of that of something maybe really popular. I love clan ad. I know I know a lot of people don’t don’t even continue watching clan ad because apparently they’ve got bug eyes. Um, and the character designs are funky supposedly. I think they’re quite charming. Um, and yeah, people don’t even continue it just purely based off the look of the characters. So, that is like the complete opposite of my kind of thoughts on solo leveling, isn’t it? So, everybody’s got their own kind of criteria and stuff, but um I think everybody’s had that like why the hell do you love this so much? What what about this story, this show makes it your favorite? is a white whitening whiting. Yeah, that shot there really does just evoke [ __ ] Zuro, doesn’t it? It should be like it’s not too much of a change just adding a brother in there, right? I struggle to see anything that would be essential to you being an only child. Like absolutely essential That’s another issue, isn’t it? With Japan specifically, their anime anime schedules. I guess it’s for like TV, so it needs to be on schedule and stuff, but sometimes I feel like they should have more delays and spend more time on making it good. It seems so date driven like this of like you have to get it done by now by any means necessary even if it compromises the production and it’s like I’d rather you guys compromise the the release date than the production to be honest. Same with movies as well, I guess, and stuff. But I just hate how it’s like it’s a creative art form. You should be a little bit less strict, especially on deadlines. But I always say this as well, restrictions do breed creativity as well. Oh no. Oh no. Oh, that’s terrible. Corrupted files. It’s just gone. Um, yeah, as I was saying, like you look back at old games, uh, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, um, Mario, any game, they all have major restrictions. Shadow of the Colossus. Um, they all got Yeah, like nowadays restrictions aren’t too much of a thing on gaming, but back then, again, I bring up Silent Hill. the fog and the the legendary fog in Silent Hill was created because of the limitations on the visuals and that was to help kind of blur but it ended up being that restriction was actually such a creative genius in the in the kind of feeling of the town. So I do think restriction also does breed creativity but not too much in terms of delays honestly in that regard. create shortcuts that may end up being bad. I haven’t watched it, but it feels like we’re kind of watching War of the Worlds right now. I saw a few scenes to that movie. God, I think they made that in CO years ago and they didn’t want to release it. And seen some of the scenes, it looks like an absolute mess. Nice. Good job. It might be different, but I’ve always kind of hated drawing things on like computers or laptops. Always just feels a bit rough, like a bit like input lag or something. Nice bit passion show from both of them. Good job you two. So good stuff. Are you allowed to sell this? I mean it’s based off an existing manga. You think they get sued or something, right? Oh no, [ __ ] Smash Brothers reference right there. Be quite funny if she was actually added to Smash Bros. But nah, honestly, I said earlier about the whole copyright bloody. If anything, this like that, I wouldn’t be too surprised if Nintendo copyright hit this [ __ ] episode. Really wouldn’t be just too surprising. You use something vaguely similar to something in one of our games. No way. You are not war, boy. That is a lot. This is one of those things where you don’t really want a lot because it looks like you got loads left, which means it looks like people aren’t buying them. You need a bit of kind of marketing expertise and stuff like this. That’s a popular emoji in Japan surely because I’ve seen that twice this week. That Indian guy pouring tea. Um, but now the books are tiny though, right? Oh, they’re the same size. That’s handy. But yeah, as I said, um, away from the Nintendo [ __ ] copyright, surely this is like legal, right? Yeah. What do you do in this situation? You can’t just uh we have got we have got a witch right here. stamp printer and you stamp it on. Okay, nice. That worked pretty well. There’s a lot of books to be doing that to. Not too bad, though. I guess she just go boom boom boom boom boom boom. Oh wow. Damn. There’s a a Q like the best seat in a house, do you think? Oh my god, I wasn’t expecting it to be this popular, but again, maybe I should have considering her online following. Surely there’s going to be a few weirdos here, right? Can’t all just be normal people. She took the color out of his bloody hair. He does kind of now he looks like that pizza, doesn’t he? Oh, good [ __ ] idea. Good idea. That looks like proper freshening as well, isn’t it? They got a whole model here. Oh yeah, this is going really well. Can’t remember what show I’ve watched this in before, but I’ve definitely seen like a convention like this where they sell like fan um fan like mangas and such in a convention style like this. I remember what it was though. It’s been a while. For some reason, I want to say it was like a certain magical index, but that’s been like six years since I watched that. That did go extremely [ __ ] well. Even the magic went well, which is like probably the most unexpected thing. Even the magic didn’t actually turn out too bad. We got different ending now as well. Brown and black aren’t that different, are they? Okay. I’m not sure we’ve seen this ending though. Oh, maybe we did. Yeah, we did. We did. Don’t remember that look guy looking like a Phoenix right type guy but yeah good episode again pretty well yeah fully focused on the bang grass which I was wishing for as you guys know and yeah they were really nice Ali I’ve definitely heard them do a different another song before can’t specifically remember what though but um yeah it was quite and we didn’t get too much of this, which I’m glad was the case cuz I don’t mind it, but it is just like the joke is that it’s just like majorly generic. So, seeing too much of it, it does end up actually just being what they’re kind of paring, funny enough. Um, but yeah, always uh always nice seeing the manga artist and teachers relationship. And again, it went pretty damn nicely. [ __ ] limelight sand. Jesus Christ. Um, so yeah, again, thank you guys for watching. Like I said, another nice episode today. Uh, meeting this old man who ended up just being a normal girl, which was which was good to see. Um, she was all right. She does again she does speak in a way I absolutely hate so I wouldn’t be able to deal with her in real life but she seems like a nice girl. Nice seeing her at the end here as well and yeah just a good episode focused mainly on these two. It has been quite a while since we have seen him so it is nice to get a whole episode kind of dedicated to them working hard figuring things out smooing out the kinks and such. Um I got again I don’t really know but just from the few kind of videos I’ve seen of like manga offices and such it looks like a nightmare. you see like people sleeping under desks to meet to meet schedule demands and such and yeah it’s just like Japan working in general seems very intense like office culture and like the way that their um pregnancy rates and such are going it’s just like it’s very doomer it’s very it’s very like depressing it’s it’s almost like the work is life in Japan and you don’t they don’t have time for anything else and they can’t do anything else cuz they need the money from work to do to take care of other things and it’s just like again I don’t I don’t know an awful lot about it but it just seems really intense. Um I always say that’s why anime is such so awesome though because you get such intensity and such kind of low lows with that kind of stuff. It kind of it kind of because that’s the case. it kind of breeds a more imaginative kind of time off like when you when you’re trying to be imaginatory and when you’re fantasizing about things it makes that even more kind of intense so you come up with more interesting premises and and uh and so on. So um yeah just a a point I wanted to point out but um we saw a little bit of the intensity and just creating a fan manga here between these two. Um, but like I said with like anime, you get like 10, 20, 30 people working on it all under a really tight schedule in the same building. Sometimes not even being able to go home. They have to sleep in the office and it’s just like an absolute nightmare. So, as much as I did say earlier that yes, I think there should be some restrictions and such. Maybe budgetary, I don’t think there should be timewise. I think if you’ve got to delay your show, if you’ve got to take an extra three 3 months, 6 months, year, 2 years, whatever it is to make it good, then do that because it’s much better in my opinion um than the alternative of releasing something early just to get it out early. I feel like if they know it’ll be successful nevertheless, they’ll they’re more likely to rush out early because they’re guaranteed money if it’s like a popular IP. Um, but then if they do do that, it kind of creates you’ll be successful then, but the next project you release, if you are planning to release one, will inevitably suffer because of the quality of the first one. Um, I don’t want to use this example because of all that’s been going on on Twitter specifically recently, but One Punch Man, the first season I absolutely loved. I like season two as well. I like season two a lot, but I think it’s obvious that the um animation is not as good. Uh, I still really like it and I’m going to be there for season 3 and season four and season 5, but I imagine uh, and maybe this isn’t a schedule thing because there was a lot of time between the seasons and uh, they changed studio and everything. Um, if we kind of alter the facts a little bit, so this is not actually talking about the whole situation, but if we alter the facts a little bit, if they released season one and then they rushed to season two with the quality season 2 had, people wouldn’t come back and people are not coming back for season 3 and people are not continuing One Punch Man because of the production differences and it looking slightly worse. So, I think you can apply that even though it’s different to a situation where some like a a company would rush something out. Again, not to say that One Punch Man season two or three has been rushed out, but um if we were just like to out the facts in that scenario, I think that would quite fit quite well. Um so yeah, that’s a massive shame. But again, on the contrary, like I said, sometimes these restrictions actually breed kind of ingenuity. Um and maybe they might breed some kind of new um tool or something to make things quicker to help out the artists. But then it’s almost it’s almost like that’s almost bad if that does happen because then this the people that run the studios and such you be oh you’ve got this new tool now because you’ve got that new tool will actually be cutting your time even further down to get it sorted out because you can do it even quicker now. So I’m not even sure that would be a good thing to be honest with you. Um yeah it’s just intense saving isn’t it? But let me know what you guys thought about this episode in the comment section. I imagine it is quite a lot of fun as we see with these two girls kind of getting into um creating manga a little bit like on this kind of fan level, but I I do assume if they were to ever be like majorly successful and get like and be attractive to companies, it would kind of turn into like this thing, this passion you have would just get sullied by execs and decision makers and managers and such.
