Like seriously, what’s the weather like? I I don’t know. I mean, we could check for next week. It’s getting pretty cold. No lie, actually. Like, unironically, thank God. I’m so ready for cold weather. I’m not. I don’t like the cold. I love the cold. That’s my jam. Nah, I feel like once it gets below 50, it’s like, all right, can we chill? But when it’s below 50, can you chill? Yeah, it gets colder, so it does chill. Can you not chill? How about that? Can you Can you heat up? What’s the fun of the hot weather? Sucks. It just gets hot and you can only take off so many layers. Like, you can only put on so many layers before I feel like a No, you can put on more layers than you can take off. This is true. However, at a certain point, it’s like, okay, I just want to go out to the store and get like or do my laundry. Now, I got to put on a whole suit, a whole snowsuit just to go outside. No, I hate it. No, you know what? Just be stronger. Train yourself so you have to wear less layers. I usually I usually wear shorts until it’s about 30° and then I stopped. This is fun JSAP fact. Um I actually did used to train myself for the winter. I would walk and when it snowed, it was one day it was me and my friends on the basketball team. We went and walk through Central Park the length of it like long way. Yeah. In the snow shirtless. Terrible decision. I was sick for a week. However, however, I did not get cold for the rest of the year. I was like, I’m chilling. This is not bad. Yeah, it couldn’t get worse than that. A little hypothermia takes you a long way. It does. It builds character. It does. A lot of characters. Speaking of characters, um, two players that are not Nitro Newberg, I believe they just played it off stream. It’s been a while. So, indeed. Yeah, it’s going to be Bean coming back up. That’s right. Against classified. Woo. Going to be a lot of fun seeing classified here on stream for the first time tonight. Giovana, one of those characters that a lot of people are talking about is really good after the patch. So, very exciting seeing a lot of the changes. And honestly, Giovana is one of my favorite characters to watch, particularly classified, who’s been going on an absolute tear. Yeah. Okay. There was a bunch. At first, I wasn’t sure and then you hear the gold burst and you’re like, “Oh.” Ah, yeah. Yeah. That would do it. That would do it. I hear Kai as well. That’s how I knew I heard Kai. I was like, “Okay, but check.” You hear the the white bread, the French man. You’re like, “Yeah.” Yeah. Can’t believe Kai’s French. What’s up with that? That is mad random. Unbelievable. I know. This is the world we live in. Can you believe that? He’s French. There are so many sad things happening in this world. Is he French? Where was Dizzy even born? Well, I think she’s a gear. She’s She’s 100% a gear, right? So, but like that doesn’t mean she can’t be French. That’s true. Damn. Yeah, but outside of Soul, aren’t like all the gears from Japan? Cuz isn’t that why Japan got destroyed? Like what’s up? Is that how it works? Well, that I mean Japan did get destroyed. Okay. Well, I don’t know if they are fighting. It sounds like they are fighting. Definitely fighting now. Um well the set is currently guys are fighting set is certainly ongoing. I don’t have an answer as to what’s happening presently but something is yeah they’re just playing it out right now. So we’ll be here as we’re getting all the tech stuff fixed. I’m going to try to do my best to infer Oh we are good. All right. So, yeah, classified on the back foot right now. Oh, this is when it’s quarters. Okay, so this is um this is for top eight winners. But there arrow boom and a huge wall break coming in from classified here. The 2P the triple using dash remember to carry that enough to even get him 214k for the counter TK into the super. Does that do more damage now? Uh, okay. RC anyway, I believe just trying to get as much possible. And there you go. It was enough. Just barely with that 5k. Certainly a great way for classified to respond after be the first round. Here we go. The throw gim early. Gamma blade for the meaty. These recatus are connecting so well. A nice throw bean. Not going to let escape so easily. Blocked the gold burst in time as well. Nice. Right into the car. That’s going to wall break. Boom. Hard knockdown. Positive bonus on the side of Bean. You go. And that’s going to be game one going to Bean. A great start for Bean indeed. D. Can we keep it up? Game two. Off to a hot start. Far slash 5 H to counter it. Forcing the burst out already. Back dash just enough. Get away from that file arrow. Just back dash goes quite a ways away. Getting out of it. You know, classified taking that offense. Get out of not RCN quite yet. And there goes the overhead. Condition that in. Now classifi stuck on the back foot here. Going to reset to the same side. Nice jump. Wall slump. Oh, actually Oh my god. Gets the wall break off the slump. Nice. Oh, 2D gets it there. And there you go. Speaking of Duty, got the most one of the most hilarious changes in this patch. They removed. Okay, so weakness of a lot of Pokemon in the game, generally speaking, is that their her box will extend as the starts coming out. That’s how it works. If you’re throwing out a punch, right? Like your arm is still coming out, right? But um for Chip 2D, they decided to not make that a thing anymore. So as his leg is coming out until it is active, there is no sending hurts. So you can literally like if you have a hitbox viewer, you can start Chips 2D and then pause it right there before the activator come out. You’ll literally just see his leg out with no just nothing there. That’s hilarious. An extension of his soul. JD, no connection. There we go. So there we have it. They counter hit him with a 2D jumping out again. This time gets the nice JH far slash 5H connects into that newly buffs enhanced 214k. I believe it’s a lot faster now. Yeah, way faster. Here we go. Hard knock down slash YC to get the spacing away. JP good ants here. Good reaction from Classify. That should be enough. And it is classified evening the score one to one now. A fantastic response indeed. Game number three. 5K, 2K, 2P. JH coming in hot. Record two. Over going to connect this time. Sets it fully without meter as well. Over going to connect again. Forcing the burst out from classified. Back to neutral. 2D gets blocked. A nice 2K. Good aggression from Bean. The spacing Bean has with his character so good. like just knows exactly where to put himself to avoid the opponent’s coach while also getting his own zone in. Burst out from both players now. Be wants to keep the corn for a little longer. Overhead not going to connect this time. JP wins. I think too short for that. Nice. Okay. Went for the reset but didn’t find much. Oh my god. Actually, never mind. I take it back. That was scary. Went for the I think the cross up this time instead of side four already. The BRC away the other side, but okay, that’s going to not hit. Does it need to punish? Wait, hold on. Oh, interesting. Yeah, actually, Alpha Blade does have a hurt box on the projectile kind of. Yeah, it’s really it’s really it’s it’s such a weird looking move if you look at how the hit boxes work. Very ugly, but being still making it work. Classified really good starter. Gio has one of the best round start options. Oh, tries to build that 50. Didn’t quite get I was going to say counter hits from Gio at round is so good because she can build 50 from a combo but just a little bit short and baited the DP off the drop combo. Nice play from classify just answering back every time being shot out a good round just got a good round right back at it. This is going to be one of our first very back and forth sets I can see as of right now. Cost going to connect alpha wave extension the classic beam pressure. Yeah, just the kicks just add up. just don’t think it’s time to they just keep coming out. If you’re not FD and you’re going to get stuck the lows just so many lows back to back to back. Nice good patience for Bean. Now the corner pressure with almost 100 meter to work with too going right into the car super. What a pick from there and it’s enough to kill too. Bean up 2-1 now. They’re just trading dominating rounds back and forth button’s got to close it out here being up 2-1. I think it’s very possible we see a game five happen here. But even with that being said, Bean doing a really good job getting that corner pressure started. The 2K connects, but not much else comes out from it. Oh no, good from Beam to get away from that enhanced fire. The B went for the super input. It’s a free punish for classifi bursting to keep the corner. Backs up a little bit, gives some space, runs right back in using chip speed. Just go in and out, but good jump by classify. finally getting away from that throw. Looking for it this entire time. Not afraid to keep looking for it as well. Hard knock down off the super situation. Being on the 50 meter has that DP, but G has those safe options against the AP. Even go for just roughly close slash showing no fear at all. Gets the counter it and classify now up around and up in burst as well for this next one. Nice. 2K2D gets in. We are going back and forth here. Beam with some really nice corner pressure. The blocks from class fight the low finally connects but there’s not much more following yet. Side swap on the enhance. Wow. Counter hit into the spiral but drops the combo. Really big drop there with us momentum, but they got a hard knock down. Had the to work with as well. Back. That’s BC on the 2K 2D. Good character knowledge by classifi gets bursted out once again. Corner from Bean. Oh, punishes the jump out attempt. Oh, but can’t combo off it. Wa! What an adjustment. Yeah, you’re dead. Absolutely is enough. The 5H going to launch be into the stratosphere. Classified brings up to a 22 and we’ve got our first game five on stream. Classified Bean the Chip Geo matchup coming to a tense climax here. 5K going to connect but not anything else. 5P from Bean. Clone not going to connect. Both could whipping a little bit there. But Bean coming out on top just for now. Rea to IV this time, but 6P to catch a punish option. A little too slow on the jump there. Now here comes the throw from Bean. Clone throw again. Such a great position to be in in this tournament. But this classified wanted a little more. I don’t know. Little bit of neutral grabs now. Bean applying the pressure. Has a foot on the gas. Finds the overhead. Went for a burst fight there. Didn’t find much. Uh-oh. Wild Assault extends this combo to the corner and a wall break. Man, what a conversion. Clean. No, just drops the 5P. That’s not enough damage to get the most out of that. But still bashes his way out into the Rea Car for the hard knockdown. Class 5 certainly isn’t done. Has some fighting to do in the loser side. But well played by Bean. You know, you said something and I didn’t make a joke at it at the time, but you said it was a good spot to be in. Be in Bean. I’m glad you didn’t make that joke in a moment. Yeah, I waited till after. I figured now would be a good time to do it. So, guess when the time was right. That’s right. The time is always right. Some may say if they’re who is some actually that this is an important important thing to know. Plus one if you’re some minus one if you’re not. We need to know why you ask. These are the questions. But the question is who’s coming up next because these top eight qualifiers are going to be coming up back to back to back. I believe I heard Dig. But yeah, no, it’s getting crazy. These, as I mentioned before, as the sets get closer, as the bracket progresses, the better players are going to be running against each other head first, head on, and it’s going to be neck and neck. This is top eight quadars. want to win these cuz getting put into that extra set to win to get to that top eight loser side. There’s some demons down there. People have people have died. Yeah, a lot of people have. And I mean, it’s such a big thing when you get that winner side advantage because then you only have to win one round to make grand finals, which is guaranteed top three, which is almost always a guaranteed prize pool. Uh so, one round versus the two that you got to win in losers. Yeah. And then if you lose, you then have to go down to losers and fight two rounds to then get a chance at it. It’s just it’s a lot to deal with. So speaking of So the pressure is absolutely ramping up. Yeah, it’s a lot to deal with. Okay, but as we’re setting up for this next one, we got ads running through. Everybody’s off on Saturday. Yeah, definitely seems like NYC is very excited for 2x KO and I am very excited to see what the game’s going to look like when it comes out. Oh, yeah. No, absolutely. Got multiple locals already stacked up. FNL, of course, for those who don’t know, is going to be switching to KO at least to start. When the game comes out, we might get Strive back, but for now, we won’t. So, this is for now the last Strive tournament for FNL for a bit, but I mean, everyone’s going to be playing to KO, so I don’t think anyone’s going to be missing out on any action. Very true. Anytime soon. Who are you playing in KO if you’re gonna play? Who Who got your fancy? I mean, look, I I kind of do love Yasawo. So, I it’s probably going to end up being Yasawo. I play him in I I mean, he was my first main in League back in the day. And actually, his League VA, not 2x KO, but his League VA is the same as Johnny’s VA in English for Strive, which is pretty cool. So, he’s he’s actually gives a very similar vibe. Um, but he seems like a really sick character, so I definitely want to try him out. I don’t know cuz I haven’t played any of the betas yet. If the game has a slayer archetype character, then I’ll probably end up trying them out because that’s usually what I gravitate towards. Like I play Ogre and Yuni, Azrael, and Blaze Blueue. Uh, I do actually play Slayer and Exard uh, and a little bit of LEL, but uh, hopefully they have someone like that, but all the characters look really sick. The art the art style for 2x KO is really cool. What about you? Who do you think about playing? Good question. Um, at first I didn’t like the first alpha. I didn’t like anybody. I was like, h maybe Yas will, but I’m like, uh, but then they revealed Jinx. And he revealed Vi back to back. Yeah. And I was like, okay, Jinx looks cool designwise, and I like Okay. I usually don’t like zoners, but I like projectile zoners. I like projectile zoners that interact with their projectiles. She can like hit her little the tools that go at you and change how they work. I think that’s sick. That’s pretty cool. Yeah, that stuff is cool. Well, speaking of sick, we’ve got Tyler and Dig coming up. So, even more Gio, I know you’re sick of her, but we got more. That’s right. Dig in the yellow jacket. Yeah, got to eat the 50/50 5D to wall break. Basically a one-touch situation here. Dig plays the cards right. Yeah, it’s a very interesting way that Bridget has these new options with the controlling the role in terms of direction it goes. Now you have Oh wow, that was an insane dash of card slash got through that ro before you even play the mind game where you delay it or you don’t delay it. Ignoring that all together 2s not going to connect. Good throw tech from Dig deep. Great play and the yo-yo to punish the back dash. Very heads up and now we’re going to round three. Dig trying to get a two lead would be huge. Double back dash to start. Not want to interact at all. DP gets baited. Huge starter for Tyler. All right, burst comes out from DIG. Getting a yo-yo set up. Slowly trying to close the gap and find something with that 5P. BRC down. Doesn’t find very much. Spiral arrow does connect. We’re kind of counteritting back and forth here. 2D going to connect. Mo gets blocked, but there we go. Now the JS is going to hit now. Went for the blow rolls a lot there. Tyler trying to recognize it. Go for a throw or maybe a mash, but now think switching back to the high. already on top of the RPS, but Tyler still finding that hit. I believe enough of the dive should get the wall break and the kill if I’m not mistaken. Yes, you are not. And there we go. Tyler tying it up. One to one. Good adjustments from both players here. Dig has a lot of good hits, a lot of good mixups going, but honestly, Bridget’s damage seems to be, as what he’s been telling me, it’s lower than it’s ever been. So, that’s not good. Interesting. Yeah, probably from the wrist gauge change, right? Yeah, exactly. Cuz now you don’t take as much damage from low risk. You take a lot from high risk, but Brit doesn’t really crank high risk like that. She usually cranked a little bit and then got a good reward from that, but now it’s even less than it used to be. So, it was kind of spooky. So, even though D is doing so many interactions back to back, it’s just not enough. And R does not have the health, but Gio does have the damage. JD gets blocked. Yoyo Pa messed up, but yo didn’t come out in time, but the backup’s going to get caught by the 2s. The flex shield gets caught again. Nice pressure from DIG. Constant resets keeping it going. 5D connects. Big wall break. Double charge. 5D. No hard knockdown. Both players without 50 meter to work with, but that’s going to be changed real quick for Dig. Especially two kicks in a catch. Checking the run up. Dig not afraid to mash so far in this set. Shut up quite a lot. Understandably so. Tyler on the other hand has been going for franchise but not the big ones. Uh-oh. can free punish on that DP into a throw this time. Red RC, we’re extending this combo right into the corner. Big wall break coming your way. Big looking for the burst, but Tyler not giving it up just yet. Far’s going to connect. Sper connecting again catching these dash ups from Tyler really well. Scooter almost got checked by that 5k, but nice IA or ID into that. I’m bling all over my words right now. This is like blue walls up, blue RC, I back blah blah blah blah. Got to got the alphabet soup going on here. Literally, that’s exactly what it felt like just now. But uh-oh, two H into two HH going to catch Tyler moving at the last second there. That’s a sneaky little franch. People forget that Bridget does have a follow from two H. We’re not used to seeing it. You’re like, “Oh, two H. I can move now.” And you get banked by the follow. But now Bridget finally getting those damage enough to get a kill. And Dig is now 2-1. taking a little breather, understandably so. Yeah, always good to get that mental reset before you go right into the next round, especially when you’re winner side. Life is on the line. Got a yo-yo set up here. The lows connecting. Wall bounce. Oh, jump the throw, but too high to get for a punish. The curse of the super jump or whatever you want to call it. Does feel bad when you super jump a throw. You’re like, “Oh, wait. No, I didn’t mean to jump that high.” DRC to cover the far slash lift. Both players out of meter. Yeah, Tyler dashing up but just can’t seem to find the timing. D on top of everything. Huge full slash counter hit. Tyler staying firm. Still continue not to burst. Now you’re in a real iffy spot. Can’t burst at all here. I mean, just wouldn’t be the best option. JS backs up looking for a throw afterwards. not showing it when punishes the five is just a 2P. 2P and 5P usually not the best pokes, but in match tip they’re really fast and have just movement that’s just kind of unreactable. It’s pretty reliable to check. Yeah, great start for this round for Tyler. Already getting 50% of Dig’s health out going to connect or not blocked on these wake ups getting punished accordingly. But here we go. The reversal super going to go right through here. RC for extra damage. Oh, enough to kill rather. No, I No, not yet. Although that 2K does get it done. Tyler might just be able to tie this one up here. Both players going to have burst available to him this round. Here we go. 2s connecting again here. Dig has gotten the really good timings. It wouldn’t be aggressive. Wouldn’t be passion. Oh, big whiff throw. Has to burst to keep the corner pressure alive. Roger dive going to be three punish for Tyler who just stayed patient 2D into the 5 counter hit not go for wall break but instead just a hard knock down shimmy the throw but didn’t punish it just goes for the the DRC’s working out really well gets that hit and now one away from bringing it to game five but still has to make it happen bonus and just keep it simple 5k 214k going to frame trap and bring us to a game number five here hold Come on. Come on. Remember also this is winners semis by the way. This is top eight winners. That’s right. Really big reward for whoever gets on top of the set. Full slash DP going to connect. It goes in. Pull slash again. 5 H. Was the not checked. Makes some time. JD going to connect. Full combo with the 6H. Good damage as well. Actually not good damage. I forget the wrist change really does. Now I’m looking at it. That was low risk and it did a significantly less amount of damage than I thought it would. Mhm. Tyler does have a few meter on the board so will help after the wall break but Dig has a lot to work with here too. Man 100 meter with Gio grab PRC forward but gets thrown anyways. Cap ah sneaking it in. risky there as well. The yo-yo wasn’t going to come back to cover as well that time around. So, kind of gambled around on that a little bit. Here we go. Round number two. Burst gone from Dig already. That’s very big for Tyler to make that comeback. Now, the next hit’s going to really matter. And gets it with the far slash catching the back dash. Full combo, but drops the close slash. Not the end of the world here. Lot of corner pressure coming in. Tyler keeping DIG on lock. Dig’s got nowhere to go. tries to find a gap and does. Ooh, nice whip punish on the far slash with the 5k. The super will be enough to drag into the corner and bring this set to a game five last round. Tyler with the burst advantage. Dig with only 50. Far slash almost comes in the punish. Dig running up. Not wanting to be too passive, but gets thrown. Oh, the throw in looking for the shimmy. Doesn’t quite get it. Far slash almost gets punished a second time here. tap that’s blocked already. Jump the shimmy throw this time. Doesn’t go for the for the burst. Really aggressive play there. Big throw. 5P forcing up the burst. Gets the hit as well. Tyler just willing to sacrifice the GB more aggressive on defense. But now look at the situation you’re in. Going to reset for Loki. Yes, we are. JD low going to connect. Resets. JF’s going to connect. Charged up. 50 meter for the situation. Going to be BRC4. No, we’re not. We’re going to five each. Here comes the scooter. 50/50. Nothing. And the punish comes out from the yo-yo and dig winning 32 in an incredibly close set. What a way to start off the top eight for today. That was tough there. Really neck and neck set. Good decision. I mean, good patience by Dig to wait out those options. Good aggressiveness by Tyler to be on top of these whip punishes. missed a couple key ones in that last game that could have been gamechanging, but that’s just the way it is. We’re not going to be seeing the end of Talon just yet. We sent down on the loser side. Absolutely. So, not the end of the world. Still in it. Still in that fight, but DIG securing that top three spot in winner set and winners final. Yeah, very good positioning there. Very good play from DIG as well. This is a stack bracket. So, making it that far without dropping a set, kudos, you know. Absolutely. But now coming up next, we got Bean versus Nitro. Talk about one hell of a set that we get to see live here. It’s interesting seeing how Jacko the ball to where instead of using the like super that you think would be used for offense where you get the minions and so the gauge builds up fast offense with the sword. Now a lot of Jackos use the shield command on super instead. You see he just sticks around. He stays on the screen. You get to go for like super big gaps on your strings because as long as the minion starts attacking, they cannot do anything about it’s going to hit. Double tap does block. Can we get a third? J 2D comes out. There we go. Now classif adapted to that little backup by running up to these 2Ks instead. Fuzzy blocked entirely by Newre, but the throw going to come out before that 6P does. Bit of a hero burst there from class and it doesn’t pay off as the plus unblock tap does. Sending the minion into that makes newer too close to punish there. There goes the shield command. Minions coming out. That’s why gets a hit but not enough to compliment anything special. Oh, there goes the hard. Yeah. And keeping the combo going in the corner, interesting option there. So has to be very patient here as Jacko just sets up a ton of offense. Cap dust gets blocked with the flex shield to end the landing recovery. Heads up play, but it wasn’t enough to get out of it. So Newreer is now up 20. The Jacko and her boys proving to be quite powerful here as classified needs to turn this around.
