🎆 What is the Yohtaka Andon Festival (Numata Town, Hokkaido, Japan)? The Yotaka Andon Festival, held every summer in Numata Town, Hokkaido, Japan, is the town’s signature traditional festival. Impressive lantern floats parade through the city at night, lit by mystical lights and filled with heroic chants.
The festival climaxes with a “Kenka Andon” performance, in which multiple lanterns collide, drawing the audience into a frenzy.
