［８日 ロイター］ – トランプ米大統領政権は、政府系住宅金融機関（ＧＳＥ）のファニーメイとフレディマックのＩＰＯ（新規株式公開）を年内にも開始する可能性がある。政府高官が明らかにした。
匿名を条件に語った当局者によると、ファニーメイ(FNMA.PK), opens new tab、フレディマック(FMCC.PK), opens new tabの企業価値の総額は約５０００億ドルに上る。
２００８年の金融危機後、両社は連邦政府の管理下に置かれてきた。株式公開が実現すれば大きな転換点となる。
関係筋によると、政権は株式売却の可能性について銀行と話し合いを続けているものの、プロセスを主導する銀行の正式な指名には至っていないという。
両社はロイターのコメント要請に応じていない。両社の株価はともに株式店頭取引（ＯＴＣ）で約２０％上昇している。
