神が遅れるとき:あなたが聞くべきラザロの物語
Hey my friends, you may remember last week we talked about why Jesus wept when he knew that Lazarus was going to be raised from the dead. Well, in John 11, we get this strange detail as well. Same story, Mary and Martha sent word to Jesus that their brother Lazarus is sick. And the very next verse says, “So when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days.” Now, doesn’t that feel a bit backward? If he loved them, why delay? Why wait? But Jesus delays are never random. He knew what he was doing. He waited, not because he didn’t care, but because he did. When he finally arrived, Lazarus had been dead for 4 days. The miracle that followed was undeniable. It left no doubt that this was God’s work. And maybe, just maybe, the same is true in your life. You’re praying, you’re pleading, you’re waiting, and you wonder if God’s delay means he’s forgotten you. But delay isn’t denial. His timing is perfect. And sometimes he waits so that when the answer comes, you’ll know it was him. What he’s preparing may just be bigger than what you’re praying for.
Have you ever wondered why Jesus waited when Mary and Martha begged Him to come heal Lazarus? John 11 gives us a strange detail: “When He heard that Lazarus was sick, He stayed where He was two more days.”
It sounds backward. If Jesus loved them, why wait?
But here’s the truth: God’s delays are never random. Jesus waited, not because He didn’t care — but because He did. When Lazarus was raised from the dead, there was no denying that it was God’s work.
Maybe the same is true in your life. You’ve been praying, pleading, waiting — and it feels like God is silent. But delay isn’t denial. His timing is perfect, and sometimes He waits so that when the answer comes, you’ll know it was Him.
🔥 Watch this short teaching from John 11 and be encouraged: what He’s preparing may be bigger than what you’re praying for.
