“HANABIE. (Pardon Me, I Have To Go Now) Music Video ” | [FIRST TIME EVER LISTENING!] REACTION

[Music] Christmas [Music] as a guardian as a guardian. I was like I’m also the victim. I’m also the victim. That’s my point. Okay, time for another reaction. I mean, Jesus Christ, man. When I saw that last video, people like, “Oh, you like gas like Mario. You got this B and it’s like a dance b with gyros. I’m just like what is this thing? What is this thing? It’s so good. I love it so much. Immediately this is my dream. It is my life. I always wanted No, but seriously, I love it so much. You know, I love Guy and Metal G. It’s just amazing. It’s so good. So, we’re going to watch Pardon Me and we’re going to work it down right. I want to see more of these bands on. One side note though, it’s like a festival kind of close to where I live. I hear it over there. Maybe the mic is up because I hear music from the festival and like across the yard from my leave is a pretty big uh currently right now then. But you know it’s summer and so on, right? So maybe if the mic has some weird music in the background, but I think it’s fine. But I can hear it though. Uh and I have to have the my house windows open because it’s so incredibly hot today. It’s like freaking 100 far here. I’m burning up like plus 30 Celsius. It’s incredibly hot. So I’m like whatever. Like yeah, it’s like 37. So it’s insane. So whatever. Let’s watch Gyus. Okay, here we go. So, pardon me. An office thing with like a woman being harassed maybe at her office, you know. Hey, [Music] [Music] first of all, I’m going to sit here, guys. Okay, I am a godin in that sense, right? I I love it. Okay, I love shamish sense. Okay, I love the whole shamisan thing. Uh I’m a sucker for it. I was going to say it. I love this first like 40 seconds here because I do love that kind of the sham. Yeah, I was like that. It’s very classic Japanese string instrument, right? It’s in the mime and so on. And you know, if you’re in Tokyo, especially is like tourist areas, you will hear the shamisen all the time, right? But but I have to admit it like I I am a freaking god and freaking tourist in that sense because I love it. Okay, I love it. Maybe it’s a childhood thing because I grew up of course obviously watching a lot of animes playing on Japanese games, right? And you know there’s a lot of obviously mostly video games that has this like as a soundtrack, right? A kind of shamisan inspired soundtrack sometimes. So maybe that’s why but anyway so I love this first bit like a metal shaman. Please understand [Music] us. [Music] [Music] But yeah, the music video is clearly very, you know, Japanese war culture, right? She’s like this woman and so far she’s really been harassed, I guess. But, you know, she’s being kind of hassled by her managing. He’s like, you know, give me tea, right? You’re a woman. Make me some food. He’s basically doing giving the whole you know go in the kitchen woman and make a sandwich you know what I mean he’s very much doing that right and this is of course a very common issue right in Japanese culture this is very much how it is right you know in in I won’t get too much of you here but obviously I know this myself very well I have worked with a lot of Japanese people right especially with screenics yapish company is what I know most about and it’s like not only is this uh very y specific right this is very true but it’s also of course very common uh with age and so on, right? And me then as a guardian, as a sheer guardian, right? It’s always harder for me, of course, as well, right? Uh I was like, I’m also the victim. I’m also the victim. That’s my point of view. No, but seriously, I’m also I definitely recognize this as a you know, as a shu, right? It’s like a shardian coming in as well to Japan and talking to people because it’s a similar issue for me as well, right? That the Japanese, especially, you know, the seniority in Japanese companies, right, are going to be a little bit more ah what’s this white guy know? You know what I mean? They’re going to be like, “No, he’s not really one of us. He’s, you know, it’s it’s a very similar feeling, right?” And they of course treat the women similar. It’s like, “Yeah, she’s a woman.” You know, probably just promoted guy instead. He knows it’s tough, right? So, it it is a very very common issue. I’m not saying every company, whatever. But, but it’s obviously it’s like that. And um it it’s I will say this thing, it’s it’s better this these days, right, than it used to be. And um it’s also a little bit weird as a side note as like a foreigner because uh sometimes they’re very respectable of you, right? Sometimes they almost overly expect you to be better than everyone else as a foreigner. So it definitely depends. But I feel it’s either I feel it’s either one of two things, right? As like a gadin in Japan, they either be like, “Oh, this guy is like a master of everything because he’s like a white kid coming over here.” Or they’re going to be like, “Oh, well this white doesn’t know anything.” Yeah, it’s kind of like one of those two ways. It’s nothing in between basically and especially in my current job in my more later job now right if I meet like east Asian people overall now instead they basically treat me like a god right so it’s like which of course I am a god but you know what I mean so it’s it’s a very different thing uh but it also comes with age of course right because now I am older so they see me as he’s like oh he’s like a senior senpai kind of dude you know he obviously has knows everything oh I digress but you get my point is I obviously I understand completely what this video is about I mean generally and obviously this woman here can I can revolt against evil kind of suppressive y whatever. [Music] Okay. Oh, here we go. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Now, this is Yeah. Yeah. This is my [Music] So, I did talk about this in my video was yesterday. I do too. I’m sorry. I do too many videos. No, but seriously, I mentioned this in uh in my video yesterday when I reacted to Oppai from Kanuk Piro, which is I love this band and I found this new song for them or whatever. But in that song, there’s basically about this like rich, you know, businessman, right, in Japan going to like hostess clubs, right, and flirting with big women with big OP, right? And long story short in the video, but this is also a very very common thing, right, in Japanese culture that you have to go to an isa after work and hang out with your managers and your colleagues, right? And we see that guy kind of like, you know, touching the women, you know, this is this is incredibly common in Japan. Seriously. Right. Because it’s so much in the work culture that you hang out with your colleagues after work. So this is obviously a very common issue for a lot of ladies in Japan that they’re older manager guys who be like oh you want a promotion you know yeah this this is super common. So this is absolutely very combination. Yeah. Heat. [Music] Come on. [Music] There we go. Heat. Heat. Yeah. Heat. Heat. Heat. I’m [Applause] always for snap. Let’s go to the board again. [Music] [Music] But yeah, as I said earlier, right? I mean, the story line, this music video is, you know, obviously very very clear, right? You know, she has like a man and girl, he’s an older man, right? He’s kind of harassing her. And it starts out being kind of condescending, right? Like, oh, bring me some, you know, tea, lady. Go to the kitchen, woman, and make me a sandwich. which you know basically right he’s doing that to her very classics stereotypical issues and then of course she’s he started touching her improperly right then he’s you know like touching her at the bar and so on basically is yeah but basically something so and so forth right uh so yeah of course he finally snaps it so this is obviously I waited for the whole video I mean this is a really cool band right they’re like metal core gyros whatever you haraku yeah so on right it’s badass yeah and this is obviously like kind of I would use the word rebel, you know, correct me if I’m wrong below. But I think that overall, I mean, overall, I keep saying it, right? I love gyros like Mario or whatever, but I also love Yankees and and actually I do love Yankee girls more than guys probably where I keep saying the ultimate ultimate, you know, like anime character usually anime or those like jani guys, you know, the mixup. Yeah. You have we have a cat is both a jani and a guy, you know, very rare, but those characters in movies, animes, and games or whatever are always freaking gold, man. Yeah. They’re they’re both right and obviously this kind of music genre I would say is very close to that. I mean, of course, we have the whole guy that video, right? But they’re very close to that because the Yankee bit, Yankees are, you know, one way is like the tomboy, right? Like a Yankee woman is very tomboyish usually. There’s one way to kind of explain in English, right? So, they’re kind of rebellious. They fight people, you know, they have the the shades, they have the baseball bats, right? So, they kind of have the thing. Another word for this course is different thing is sukuban, right? So, it’s a completely thing. And I have actually a video about uh one piece for this thing, right? was Yamato because in One Piece, daughter of Kaido, right? She’s obviously a Yankee and the whole Kaido crew is based on like Yankee and Yakuza tropes, right? And she’s very much an actual sukuban correctly then because sukubans are based on like uni girls uni, right? A demon girl and they usually have like a baseball bat, you know, when they have like a a mask and so on. Very common. And of course, you read one talking about she has like a bath like a fall, right? She just has a mask and so on. So she’s very much based on that. called sukuban which is like a a term used more in the 80s I would say than currently and these days usually her yank instead of course have ferodas delinquent right also common her delinquent but overall uh I would say this music on right is clearly based on this kind of subcultures I mean not exactly but I mean kind of you know it’s touching in these different subcultures not exactly the same thing but if you imagine you have a ven diagram you know with the two different circles they’re clearly overlapping somehow, right? You know, it’s like one circle here, one circle there, and so on. It’s obviously a lot of overlap in this like, you know, Japanese subcultures. So, um, uh, my long point here is Kash when you are watching a video like this, you’re not really surprised by this. You know, this is what you expect, right? Because, yeah, these girls are like, I got rebels as I can kind of said earlier, and you of course waiting for her to rebel against her terrible boss manager of the old company, PR, whatever. you know, you’re waiting for her to kind of slap him or punch him or whatever, right? But he always touching her and he’s, you know, you’re just waiting for the moment she’s like, “Okay, I’ll get enough and she want to punch him, right?” So, uh, yeah, like the music video is pretty straightforward. Uh, but I think it’s very fitting though for the song of course overall and like I said, I think it’s fitting for the general culture, right? Uh, I keep saying for these kind of, you know, like fashion, right, for these women, right? you know, because that’s this kind of what I went in earlier on that guys and Yankees tends to be kind of like, you know, woman or rebelling then so to speak against Japanese culture because Japanese culture overall, you know, is very much kind of like, you know, don’t like change your hair color or whatever, dye your hair, don’t wear this kind of clothing, don’t wear skirts that or whatever, don’t have this kind of earrings and all this stuff, right? Don’t have the makeup and so on. uh yeah Pish culture is very rigid right I mean overall some generaliz point and uh these kind of subcults tend to be very against that that’s one of the reason why I like for example again guy culture because galler culture is very you know bright colored it’s very gold it’s very yellow it’s red you know it’s pink right it’s very strong colors the reason is very strong colors is because the traditional Japanese woman will have you know dark hair and she will have modest clothing and so forth right so that’s why the guy looks like a do right because it’s possibly the opposite of what it’s like a mount flower or something like that, right? Like a typical traditional woman in Japan, right? That’s kind of where it comes from. That’s why I kind of like it. And I I think overall uh subcultures, especially like reverse subcultures in any country are usually the most interesting culture where it’s a culture trying to be the opposite of, you know, whatever the minority countries, right? Uh same thing in my home country or whatever. Interesting looking those cultures. Uh now of course I do work with this stuff. There were some papers about this stuff many years ago, right? So I know I know it fairly well. So if you want to know more about stuff, you know, please scratch my button. But I do actually have a few videos about this earlier, right? Talking about the guys with Marlin Sean Yankees with Yamat. So I I don’t know. But I keep trying to tell people this thing, right? U that I kind of in one way I hate the term reaction, right? Because why I am reacting this video. I always feel I try to make my videos about something else as well, right? I mean, it’s obviously connected to this video, but I’m trying to, you know, talk about culture, history, religio, whatever. I’m trying to like make some kind of wise point to speak, right? Uh that is related to the topic. So, I do feel that my videos aren’t just, you know, reactions. That’s kind of what people, you know, the term people use. I actually kind of dislike it because I wish there was an old I could use which was like, “Oh, I watch this VM video and I break it down culturally or something.” You know what I mean? I watch the video and I break it. Yeah. I don’t know. What do you guys think? Comment below. But anyways, yeah, I like the video. Very like classic Japanese subculture, you know, rebel against evil man, right? Fight the power and so on. Uh, very very like clear messaging, perfect for the song. Uh, let me get and have a great
