Welcome to Mark Jr. Reacts. Today, we’re checking out the beginning after the end, episode 11. Now where we last left off, we got to see the auction house brawl go down essentially. And we got to see Arthur slash Gray use his bloodlust in a very intense way. And overall, overall, there were a lot, it was an action-packed episode. And I enjoyed it a lot, so much so that I would say it’s the peakest episode of the season. And which season I’m talking about, whether that’s anime season or the beginning after the end season, it’s up for you to decide. Now, we also got to see at the very end of the episode, a old lady, an old woman, who said hello to Arthur because she was waiting for him. And I’m interested in seeing where this goes because I have a, I know what happens, I think, but I’m curious about how the anime does it because it can be completely different from how I expected it. Basically. It procedures. Makes sense. And now? Yeah, the director at this incredibly well-credited, well-credited school. Me too. He’s very pretty. I like her. Although. Hold that thought. OK. So I just looked up what the director. Us what she looks like in the source material, the comic specifically. Anne. It’s pretty close, I’d say her jaw. Her not jar chin is a little too wide and square. Because we’ll get this. And then. We’ll get this. I mean. This is very important. I have to show this. There, that’s. Right about. Right about. Her chin in here is a little more like it’s a little rounder that is square, but. I will say they did much better this time around than they did with Varian, though. I got to give him credit. They did better. Yeah, let’s take a look. Oh, that’s cool. A barrier. Yeah, fight, fight, fight. Oh, I mean, fair, fair, that’s fair, not just join three to the fight. They got the guy to the OP for that makes sense. That is very fair. I’ll allow that. Episode 11, the King’s decision. Yeah. Yeah, you better. She’s strong. True. True. True. Yeah, good idea. Oh, yeah. That’s cool. OK, that was cool. Yeah, that makes sense. Yeah, this is awesome. Of course, she’s offended. What does Bro expect? Does he expect the director to just fall at that amount of power that he displays? What does he expect? Does he really expect her not to be able to defend against a flimsy attack like that? Amateur. Oh, what’s this? Oh, cool. Now he’s going in as a king as he used to fight. I’m guessing. Damn, that’s got to hurt, though. Get up, Arthur. Yeah. Yes, he is. He is very remarkable. Remarkable. Oh, oh, this is cool. Nice. Oh, yeah. Probably. If she’s using sound, probably. That was it. Oh, he almost did almost pass out. Of course, of course, he’s the main character. Nice. What? Oh, you’re a long ways away from that man. That’s fair. That is very fair. That’s all he wants to do is protect his family. Nice. Oh, I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Yeah, he asked me. Okay, don’t don’t. Don’t glaze yourself too much right away. No, glazing, glazing yourself is fine in moderation. Like if you talk yourself up way too much at the beginning, you might inevitably just be a disappointment later on bits and pieces here and there of glazing. That’s fine. But doing this all at once, I don’t recommend. I wouldn’t recommend it. I don’t think that’s a good strategy. You don’t want expectations too high. That makes sense. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Nice. That makes sense. That’s a very good idea. Yep. No, he’s not. Of course, he is not. Oh, yeah. Yeah, expected that. Yeah. That’s smart. He’s very smart though. Yeah, be an adventurer. Yeah, you should have bro. Yeah, just hear him out. Hear him out. I don’t blame him. Of course, I don’t blame them. I don’t blame her specifically because she did just get her son back. Let’s keep in mind. I’m pretty sure Arthur has been back less than a month at this point in time. Probably in the less than a few weeks. So I don’t blame her at all. She’s very, very, very one on the right to feel that way. But at the same time, if he doesn’t get it, Arthur is exceptional. So it only makes sense that he would want to go out there and explore the world. Good. Smart. That’s also fair. We got to keep in mind. Arthur is like 10 910, I think, give or take. Yeah, we got to keep that on. He is like 9 or 10. So that’s also very fair. Alice has a lot of very fair and valid points for saying no. It wouldn’t be a journey. I mean, what the fuck is a journey then? Well, what does he consider a journey? Fuck. Fuck. Every disappearing for months at for a few months every time. That’s a journey right there. That is a journey. What? This sense of time is fucked. Yeah, you better. Once a month. Yeah, once a month. Damn. That’s right. You better not. Uh-huh. That’s right. That’s also fair. Yeah. He’ll tripping them using their skill tripping them. They’re full full full full on. He’s guilt tripping them. Trying to manipulate them using their past as adventurers. I mean, it’s smart. Course. Yeah. I mentioned this in the last reaction. That I do think Arthur should tell them the truth about everything except for like, obviously, maybe the dragon. The dragon egg and like his actual past life. But I think he should have told them everything because he’s a little bit more than he should have told them. Everything because I think this way, especially now, I think they’d be more open to it. I think they would be more open to it if they knew everything. Because like. They not only would they know that he actually is capable. He’s strong. They know it already, but they haven’t really known it. If you know what I mean, like they know it based on like rumor, not rumored based on like what they heard from Vincent. And like here and there. But like. If they knew like full on what he was capable of, they’d have less reason to be so against it, I think. And the second reason I think. He should tell them. Is because. Again, I think they’d be more willing to not only because. He’s strong, but also because he’s being honest with them. Because honesty in most cases, keyword here, most cases. Honesty with parents can open up more lines of trust and reliability. Because they know he’s being honest with them, so it’s like, OK, he’s being honest that he’ll come back in a month or every however one they want to. And. All that. Like I think if he had told them he’d avoid so many headaches if he just told them the truth. Yeah, it better. You can you can, bro. Yeah. There. That’s fair. Yeah, that’s fair. Yeah, that’s not I always say he’s unpleasant. He’s cool. Nice. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, she definitely probably would be. Yeah. Yeah. It’s cool. This week. Oh, nice. Yeah, it’s clear. It’s clear everyone in the group is strong, so I mean. Fair enough, it doesn’t really matter who goes on. Honestly, they’re all strong. And above all, they’re all trusted. Nice. The silent type. I’m pretty sure it’s now that I like your nine years. I’m sure this is an L. I’m guessing that the C. And that’s an R. This is probably an I. A T, H, T, E, L. I. Yeah, I got nothing. Or else, yeah. That’s sharp. That’s awesome. Dawn’s ballot is WK for. I don’t fucking know. It doesn’t like you. It adapted to him. Nice. Normal person is going to need to spin their. No normal person is going to need to spin their sword like that. He’s just showing off at this point, having some fun. Because no normal person, no normal swordsman is going to spin their swords 360 like that. And make a make a wheel out of it. That’s a cool blade adapting to his body. Yeah, good job, Sylvie. She did very good. That’s fair. Well, you probably didn’t have swords that automatically adjusted to the body. Story you heard. What kind of story? The extra craftsman who made a scepter for a single individual that passed a extension of them. OK, but that involved the owner infusing it with mana. The idea was, yeah, is unheard of. Clearly not if it’s there. I don’t know. Nice. Yeah, if only they knew. Cool. Let’s have now. He’s good. He’s good at using his kidish charms. Cool. Nice. Nice. Nice. Nice. Nice. Nice. Nice. Nice. I would have had a real problem if he had just up and leave life at him without spending any time with him. That’s fair. Now I have a nine year. So he has nine. I was right. Damn. Nine years already. Wow. Happy birthday, Arthur. Hm. I can. Hm. Yeah, save this as a mentality. Damn. Oh, that looks good. That looks really good. I want that. I want some of that food. Rich people, man, they can afford all a lot of good food. Damn, those. That’s massive. You see that cake? That cake’s massive. It’s bigger than her. Jesus Christ. Oh, that’s cool. OK, that’s funny. That was kind of funny. Clearly a joke, so it was a little more funny. He’ll just take the ring off. Nice. Oh, that’s clever. That’s very cool. Hm. You better be. I’m sure they weren’t cheap. Uh huh. They’re going to anyways. Yeah. Hey, you better be careful. Yeah, just be safe. That’s what matters. What? Oh, yeah. That was just confirmed. Hm. Nice. Yeah. I. Yeah, that’s fair. And now he leaves. Oh, they’re gonna see him off. There. I hope he does. He better. That’s right. Hug her again. Hug him again. Yeah. Yeah, be a good girl, Silvie. Yep. Good trip. Good luck, Arthur. You’re going to need it. And Jasmine. Yep. Yeah. And my light turned off. OK, that’s that is OK. No one credit. All right. I’m going to fix my light and let’s move on to the discussion. So this was a really good episode that I enjoyed a lot. And starting at the beginning, I appreciated the confrontation between the director. I don’t know if you know who got her name. The other man. The director and Arthur. I thought it was fun. And I do got to say, I’m super I don’t know why Arthur thought that she would be able to defend or that you just go down like that. I mean, come on, bro. Are you like I know you were a king, but not everyone goes down easy. That’s not how it works. And I like seeing her easily defend. That was funny to see her easily defend. And the fact that I’m like 90 percent sure at this point in time, she would easily crush him if he really tried. It’s funnier to me and not surprising that he’s going that she’s going to become a adventurer. They’re going to become an adventurer in three years. I mean, become an adventurer and then enroll in school in three years because it makes sense when you think about it because he wants to explore the world more. But he also really just wants to train. And this again, I don’t blame Alice for being against it. One hundred percent. I don’t blame her at all. I get it. And I stand by what I said. I think he should have just told them the truth about everything about him, except maybe that he was a king. That’s a different conversation. That’s a different conversation, but like everything else, I think he’s just telling the truth. I unironically don’t see a big deal with him telling the truth. If anything, it’d be better for the story. Because then no secrets and all that. And as I said, if they knew the truth, they’d be more likely to let him go without much of a fight because he’s strong. They would know just how strong he is, what he’s capable of and all that. So I stand by that one hundred percent. And I am glad that we get to see someone from the party again. They’re fun to see. And I this is funny. And ironically, Arthur probably could would kill him in his sleep if he needed to. So fair enough. But I’m not surprised that was Jasmine. I knew that was coming. As I mentioned in almost every reaction, I am familiar with the source material, the comic specifically. I read probably a little over a hundred chapters of it, give or take. So it’s not not I don’t remember a lot of it, like some plot points I do remember, but a lot of the minor ones like some of them. I guess I may I hold on. Anyways. Well, I know some small plot points, but I don’t know all of them. And so I knew Jasmine was going to be accompanying him. I don’t remember the conversation that took place up until this point, like between the group and all that. That was fun. And it’s clear that the it’s nice that Arthur has people that care about him so much. It is nice. And. This whole thing, not this one. This one, this area, like getting the weapon and all that. Yeah, I remember this too. I know. I don’t remember. I don’t. Ironically, I don’t remember this part. The the fact that it adapted to him. That was cool. I also just. OK, so this might be just me, but I think blades. I think blades that are like like this are really cool. I’m not a fan. I’m not a fan. I’m not a fan personally of swords that have like. Hilts and all that like like big hilts like this. I like blades like these. Like like this. I just think I think this is really cool. I think these kind of swords are really cool. I don’t know why I just do. Yeah, I like the minimalistic version like the minimalistic design for these kind of weapons. And the shape. It’s overall I think it’s really cool. And I do think it’s cool having a blade that adapts to you. Like it gets lighter, smaller for you. That’s really cool. I don’t remember the Dawn’s Bell WK4 thing. I don’t know what it means. I’m as in the dark as anyone else. And the fact that it doesn’t agree with him. Or I just pierce to not agree with him at some point. That was interesting. Now. Here’s what I again. I don’t think and this is actually another point where if he had told the truth to everyone originally about or at least like the people that matter like Vincent his parents and all that. He wouldn’t have to lie and grab this kind of sword. He could be honest and tell them about the real sword that he got. And people would understand because they would know the truth. I don’t get it. I don’t get. I don’t know if there are any isekai out there that do like that people that tell people the truth. But there should be. I think we should normalize telling like family and friends of the new world that you’re in the truth about where you come from. Or maybe not the truth about where you come from specifically. But the truth about like everything everything except for where you come from the fact that you’re not from this world everything else secrets. No one secrets don’t end well nine out of ten times. Keeping a secret does not end well. It just doesn’t. And it’s not going to end well here. I already know and I’m not saying this as someone who’s read the material the source material. I honestly don’t remember how it comes to be. But I know for a fact that this will not work out. I can’t prove it because I don’t remember anything that happens in most the later chapters. But it makes sense. It’s inevitable that bad that nothing good will come out of the secrets. My neck is getting stiff from all this talking. And I like P.M. I thought this was funny. Yeah him using Uncle Vincent to get what he wants. That was funny. And the welcoming party. That was cool. The this. The ring. That was that was funny. That was funny in a. So. This was funny in a. OK that’s that’s not good funny but it’s a funny it’s like a bad joke funny if that makes sense. Like this is a bad joke but it’s funny because a bad joke and because you very clearly know that it’s a joke. That’s the thing. A bad joke a bad joke is funny if you know it’s a bad joke. But if you are certain that’s a bad joke then it does not become a joke. Something else entirely but because you know it’s a bad joke it’s funny. That’s why I laugh at it. But I do like the rings. And I suspect that Arthur will just take the ring off like like if he is ever like dying. He’ll take the ring off said they don’t know that he’s dying. That seems like something he would do. But and the other gifts too that was cool. Overall this was just a really sweet like it was a sweet moment at the end for them. And finally seen the state the tearful farewell. You better visit them and now he’s leading with Jasmine is cool. And this is a really nice image actually I didn’t even notice it the first time around. But yeah this was good. This was just a really good image. A lot. And it’s also been confirmed that there is a season two in the works. Which I’m happy about because I’m enjoying this a lot. I am enjoying the series a lot. And I say that as someone who has read the comic who has read a good portion of the comic. I say that as I’m saying I like the series. A lot of people don’t. And I’m not saying that. I’m saying that as someone who has read the comic. I’m saying that as someone who has read the comic. But. And I made this point I think I made this up by like five or six reactions ago. But. I think. This is a good and a lot of people hate it. It’s trash garbage stuff like that. I think they’re free to have their opinions. And if it’s good or not. But I’m also free to think that they’re wrong. Honestly. Because. An anime. An anime. Yes. An anime is Japanese animation. Yes. But. Animation is not the only thing that makes an anime good. If it was then. Then that’s just be boring. If that was all it took to make something good. If all it took to make something good was a good animation. The more. Then that’s it. Then what’s fun about that. That’s not going to be good. Voice acting art stuff like that. But this. The animation is subpar. I can admit that I think it’s fine. Personally. I think it’s fine. But objectively. The animation is subpar. I can admit that. But. The anime is good. And the reason I say that. Is because. What makes it anime is not just the animation. Sure. That’s probably. What makes the other 60 percent is a mix of. Voice acting. The OST the soundtrack. And the story. And maybe like the effects and like. Stuff like that like. But that can be considered animation. But it’s voice acting. OST and the story. The story is great. Very great. Very good. I like it. I think it’s object objectively a very good story. The voice acting. That’s also really good. A lot of people don’t like it for some reason. I don’t get it. A lot of people are saying there’s no emotion that’s soulless. I think they’re watching something completely different from me. Because there is nothing lifeless or soulless about the voice acting. Unless. And if they’re talking specifically about Grey. He doesn’t have emotions. His whole. The whole point of him is that he was like an emotionless killing machine. So it makes sense that
he was like a. So it makes sense that he’s sound almost soulless. But for the other characters. They don’t sound soulless or emotionless. I don’t. There’s very like a different plane of a reality. I think. Anyone who thinks that the voice acting is soulless and emotionless and all that. And then the OST. The OST is good. Like during fight scenes during intense scenes in general. The OST is good. It adds the emotion. It adds the impact that you need. To draw in. And hook some. I think. For me. It hooks me in. In a way that other anime do not. And I. And I watch. I’ve seen a lot of anime in my time. On my. I’m pretty sure. I’ve on my. My analyst profile. I have watched probably over 200 anime. Give or take. But I. And that’s just on that I have listed down. I’ve watched way more than that in my life. And I’ve watched some very very shitty anime. I’ve also watched some God tier animation. God tier anime. And. Beginning of gen. It’s not God tier. I can admit that it’s not God tier. But it’s not shitty either. It’s. It’s a. It’s above average. What pretty high above average. And that’s not just because of the. It’s that’s because of the story. The voice acting the OST. Everything. Combined. Is. Why it’s above there. And so. I. The. OST. Is. It’s good. Because. It can draw out emotions from me. And I’m not someone who gets emotional. Easily when watching anime. So I think. For me if if it could if an anime can make me. Feel emotions like shed a tear even. Then it’s then it’s doing something really well. And this did that for me. Not the sepsis. But this show has done that for me. And that’s high praise coming from me. Because I’m not an emotional guy. Sure I can get frustrated angry stuff like that. But I’m not a. Dad. Period emotional guy like that. I just never have that. There are aren’t many anime that can do it to me. But this did that to me. And that deserves high praise. So. I have said this before. And I will say this again. The beginning after the end is a good anime. And I will stand by that for as long as I am around. I will stand by that. Because this is a objectively this is a good anime. Because as I’ve said. Animation does not equal. If a enemy is good or bad or not. It’s a combination of animation voice acting. OST and story. And this show has three out of four. And I objectively the animal the voice this show has three out of four. Personally I think has four out of four. The animation subpar. But it’s good it’s fine for me. I think it’s fine for me. But it’s good it’s fine for me. I can understand what’s happening. Just as well as I can understand other shows. So. Yeah. This is objectively a good anime. And I am happy to debate anyone. Who has. Complaints or anything about that. I will debate them 100%. I stand by this publicly. This is a good anime. 100%. I might honestly. Keep us in the reaction but then make this also a YouTube video.
