堀井健司さんは、代々続く「堀井織物工場」の後継者として、地場産業である丹後ちりめんの無地や紋入りの生地を製造・販売しています。
Kenji Horii manufactures and sells the Tango crepe fabric is a local industry in the successor of subsequent generations, “Horii Textile Factory”.
もともと、与謝野町への愛着と、いつかは伝統ある家業を継ぎたいという思いがあり、京都市内の呉服店で経験を積み、２０代の若さで自然と町に戻ってきたと語る健司さん。産業全体で高齢化と人材不足が進む中、将来を担う若い織手として期待されています。
