Mari Takamiya was born on November 8, 1988, in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. She is a professional mahjong player and gravure idol, standing 153 cm tall with measurements of 83-59-85 cm. She discovered mahjong through manga during middle school and began playing online at 20, becoming a professional at 22. Her major debut was at the 2013 Women’s Mondo Cup, where she won against Kozue Miyauchi. She also triumphed in the “Mahjong Battle Royal” with her team. Beyond mahjong, Mari is active as a gravure idol, with her second DVD, “Mari Takamiya Goddess Advent,” topping the Oricon Idol Image DVD Weekly Ranking in 2014 and winning the Spice Visual Award in 2017. In 2022, she and her friend Akira Wakutsu opened “MALUTA CAFE” in Ikebukuro.
