हाथी और दर्जी
एक बार की बात है किसी राजा के पास एक हाथी
था। महावत रोज़ उस हाथी को स्नान करवाने के लिए
नदी पर ले जाया करता था । रास्ते में एक दर्जी की
दुकान पड़ती थी । वह दर्जी बहुत अच्छा था । वह रोज़
हाथी को कुछ ना कुछ खाने को देता । इस प्रकार
हाथी और दर्जी में मित्रता हो गई । अब हाथी रोज़
दर्जी की दुकान पर आता और दर्जी उसे कुछ ना कुछ
खाने को दे देता था ।
एक दिन दर्जी किसी कारण से क्रोध में बैठा था ।
रोज की तरह हाथी उस दिन भी उसकी दुकान पर
कुछ खाने की इच्छा से आया और आते ही उसने
अपनी सूंड़ खिड़की से दर्जी की दुकान में आगे की ।
दर्जी ने उसे खाने को कुछ नहीं दिया बल्कि उसकी
सूँड़ में सुई चुभो दी । हाथी को बहुत दर्द हुआ और
उसे गुस्सा भी आया । परंतु उस समय वह चुपचाप वहीं
से चला गया। हाथी ने नदी पर जाकर स्नान किया और
लौटते समय अपनी सूंड़ में गंदा कीचड़ का
