篠山氏は憧れのカメラマンだったそうで、「先生とセッションをさせていただけるなら、私もちゃんとした覚悟を持って撮られることに挑みたいと思った」と回想。「今までグラビアで見せていたような表情じゃなくて“本当の今野杏南”を引き出してもらえた。先生も『これは高級なエロスだ』っておっしゃってくれた」と作品の出来栄えに胸を張った。
お気に入りの写真として愛猫との一枚をセレクトし、「先生に『私のネコも写真を撮ってほしいです』って言ったら、『いいよ、連れてきても』って言ってくださったので。すみません、セクシーさがあんまりない写真で」と、照れ笑い。
オスのミヌエット、まりも君（１）を抱いた写真のページをめくり、「ネコちゃんも美しく撮っていただいた。これを機にネコのお仕事が来たりしないかなって思っています」と“親バカ”ぶりを発揮していた。
