The Crown is one of Netflix’s longest-running and most successful series, and with that one of its few original shows that has withstood the test of time, or rather, Netflix’s mercurial axing spree that probably affects at least 60% of their shows. It’s a miracle that this show still stands after its first season. What’s even more astounding is its attempt at recapturing the lives of the members of the British Royal Family, which almost evokes the feeling of sacrilege, because who in their right mind would dare to come near Her Majesty and her family?
